Responsibilities
- provide full scope of practice internist services
- participate in call shifts
- provide support to your own site but also to others in the Western Zone if required which includes day-time coverage and occasional overnight/weekend coverage
- be responsible to the Zone Department Head for Internal Medicine for their professional responsibilities and quality of practice
- operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws of Nova Scotia Health Authority
- participate in teaching both family medicine and internal medicine residents and fellows
Expected Hours
- full-time
- on-call requirement for Internal Medicine (1:7)
- weekly coverage for ICU and Internal Medicine hospitalist during which time physician will provide outpatient care appropriate to their subspecialty
Qualifications :
- all applicants must be eligible for licensure with theCollege of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
- all specialists must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
- membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
