PostgreSQLAlloyDB DBaaS Expert (wm)

Location: Reus Granada Málaga or Sevilla.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled PostgreSQL/AlloyDB Database Expert to join our dynamic DevOps team. You will play a key role in delivering Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions for the Magenta TV platform ensuring high availability performance and security of business-critical systems.

Tech Stack & Tools:

• Databases: PostgreSQL AlloyDB
• Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (IAM DMS VPC Monitoring & Logging)
• Infrastructure: Terraform (IaC) Kubernetes
• Security & Backup: Cloud-native solutions for backup restore and disaster recovery

Your Responsibilities:

• Operation monitoring and optimisation of PostgreSQL and AlloyDB databases
• Setting up maintaining and further developing backup recovery and disaster recovery strategies
• Performance analysis tuning and capacity planning
• Automation of recurring operational and administrative tasks (e.g. monitoring provisioning patching)
• Ensuring data integrity security and availability
• Supporting development projects in database design query optimisation and deployment processes
• Incident problem and change management within the ITIL process
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and operating manuals
• Participation in on-call duty in 24/7 operation one week each one month and a half  

Qualifications :

Skill requirements:

• Proven experience with PostgreSQL and AlloyDB in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud tools and services.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud monitoring/logging.
• Fluent English (minimum B1 level).
• Experience working in agile and DevOps teams.
• Monitoring: 
  • Prometheus good knowledge.
  • Google monitoring tools Grafana will appreciate.
• Willingness to participate in on-call duty.
