HPLC Group Leader

• Job Description

• Responsible for performing HPLC SEC-MALS UV-VIS and absorbance-based biochemical assays and applying these methods to a broad range of biotherapeutics for early and late-stage products and/or characterization of biologicals including; proteins antibodies peptides and conjugates.
• Act as team leader and organize activities in the area assigned
• Train and lead others and efficiently prioritize and manage their time
• Coordinate training for employees within group and ensure records are up to date
• Assist in the hiring process and on-boarding of new employees
• Perform performance appraisals and coaching for direct reports
• Work as a liaison between clients supervisors and lab to report progress needs and delays
• Understand and report metrics monthly quarterly and yearly
• Identify risks to business and recommend process improvements

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Biotechnology Biochemical Engineering Analytical Chemistry Chemical Engineering or other related fields
• 2-4 years of relevant industrial experience 
• Previous leadership is preferred
• Strong computer scientific and organizational skills
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude
• Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies
• Experience working in GMP/GLP
• Industrial experience and an understanding of the drug development process
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
