Join our Yitpi Yartapuultiku team as our Admin Superstar! Youll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our Aboriginal Community Centre helping to create a welcoming safe and respectful environment where both First Nations and non-indigenous people can connect learn and immerse themselves in rich cultural experiences.

The Administration Officer Yitpi Yartapuultiku provides high-quality administrative and customer service support to the Yitpi Yartapuultiku Aboriginal Cultural Centre. This support ensures the Centre operates smoothly and delivers a welcoming culturally respectful experience for all visitors.

Key responsibilities of the position include:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to all visitors ensuring a welcoming environment and high-quality visitor experiences across the Centre.
  • Provide administrative support to the Operations Lead and Centre team members including calendar management correspondence and document preparation.
  • Prepare meeting agendas take minutes during meetings and follow up on action items.
  • Administer financial processes including invoice handling purchase orders and reconciliation.
  • Assist with coordination of bookable spaces including room preparation technology setup and liaising with hirers caterers and artists.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Qualifications in Business Administration or a related field is desirable.
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality customer service and administrative support ideally in a local government community or arts/culture setting.
  • Strong knowledge of and connection to local First Nations communities including an understanding of the role and significance of Aboriginal community centres.
  • Confidence in using digital technology including administrative systems software applications and records management tools.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity supporting a culture of trust respect and professionalism.

This is a fulltime fixed term contract (3-year contract) position.

This is a Level 3 position which has a current salary of $85842 per annum (plus Super).
