Job Summary
Overview:
Vanguard Landing is looking for caring dependable and enthusiastic Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide day-to-day support for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a hands-on rewarding role where your presence makes a meaningful difference every day. The starting pay range for this role is $14-17 per hour. Also we are currently hiring for start dates of February 2026 and August 2026.
What Youll Do:
- Assist residents and day participants with daily routines personal care and hygiene. Redirect residents if not properly cleaned and dressed daily.
- Support residents with their individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress.
- Help with following the citizens schedules regarding transportation recreational activities appointments and errands.
- Participate in training and maintain required certifications.
- Ensure clean safe and welcoming living environments.
- Respond to crisis situations and follow emergency protocols when needed.
What Were Looking For:
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to supporting individuals with dignity.
- Must be organized able to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 month of experience in caregiving or completion of relevant certification (e.g. CNA PCA HHA).
- Ability to lift and assist individuals using proper body mechanics if needed.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Individualized Service Plan Documentation.
- Already CPA/First Aid certified (or ready to obtain)
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
