Overview
The Manager of Med/Surg/Telemetry is responsible for overseeing daily operations ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards. This leadership role requires a highly organized and experienced registered nurse who can guide nursing teams manage departmental workflows and uphold excellence in patient outcomes and staff development.
Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate nursing care in the Medical/Surgical and Telemetry units.

Ensure staff adherence to evidence-based practices clinical protocols and hospital policies.

Collaborate with physicians department leaders and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.

Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements for patient safety and satisfaction.
-
Manage staffing scheduling and resource allocation within assigned units.
-
Support staff development through training mentoring and performance evaluations.
-
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with healthcare standards.
-
Participate in quality assurance patient safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
-
Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution (required).

Masters degree in Nursing or a related field (preferred).
-
Registered Nurse (RN) with a current California license (required).
-
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
-
American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
-
Basic EKG/Telemetry interpretation experience required or completion of a Basic EKG course within six months of employment.

Two (2) years of recent department-specific experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry setting required.

Charge nurse or supervisory experience preferred.
