Overview
The Tool & Die Maker (3rd Shift) is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by constructing repairing and maintaining tools dies and other precision components used in production. This hands-on role requires strong machining skills attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret blueprints to ensure all parts meet exacting specifications. The position also contributes to maintaining a safe clean and efficient work environment in alignment with established production and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Construct maintain and repair tools dies and related components for manufacturing operations.

Perform precise machining operations such as milling grinding and turning using manual equipment.

Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to fabricate tooling components with accuracy.

Measure and inspect parts using precision instruments such as micrometers calipers and gauges.
-
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing tooling issues to minimize production downtime.

Collaborate with production teams and support personnel to ensure optimal operation of tooling systems.

Maintain compliance with all safety standards quality procedures and environmental regulations.

Participate in training sessions to enhance technical knowledge and machining proficiency.
Qualifications
Required:
-
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
-
Minimum 1 year of experience machining and constructing tooling to drawing specifications.
-
Minimum 1 year of experience reading and interpreting blueprint drawings.
-
Minimum 1 year of experience operating manual lathes mills grinders and related machining tools.
-
Minimum 1 year of experience working with various tool steels (D2 A2 and copper).
-
Must reside within 50 miles of Washington Pennsylvania (no relocation provided).

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).
Preferred:
-
Associate degree in Tool and Machining or 2 years of experience as a die maker.

Experience building die tooling for stamping/manufacturing processes.
-
Welding experience (TIG/MIG).

Familiarity with steel heat-treating processes.
