Job Summary
Hola! The Havana team have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Coffee guru to join the team as ourCoffee Specialist and Café Manager based in Wellington at our Havana HQ reporting through to our Marketing Manager. You will deliver an exceptional cafe experience at our Wellington roastery whilst fostering a rich appreciation and deeper understanding of coffee among our clientele and team members.
This is an exciting role which combines hands-on cafe management with coffee expertise customer development and hosting experiences that showcase Havanas coffee excellence to customers nationwide.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver an outstanding daily cafe experience for customers and ensure and coffee quality standards are high
- Develop and execute a programme of coffee experiences for consumer clientele
- Develop and deliver comprehensive coffee training programs for staff & customers enhancing their coffee making skills and knowledge.
- Host site tours cuppings and coffee education sessions for existing customers and stakeholders
- Responsible for regular financial reporting for the café
- Conduct quality control testing and maintain consistency in coffee standards
- Collaborate with roasting team on blend assessment and product development feedback
- Support national sales team by hosting key customer visits and relationship-building activities
- Collaborate with marketing team on content creation and social media featuring roastery experiences
Key to your success will be:
- Advanced coffee knowledge and specialty coffee industry trends
- Experience within hospitality and customer service
- Strong communication event hosting and presentation skills
- Problem-solving and adaptability in fast-paced environment
- Coffee training experience
- Full drivers license required
