Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Surgical First Assistant is responsible for assisting the physician throughout the intra-operative phase as well as contributing to the delivery of quality patient care by working with other surgical team members during the preoperative and immediate postoperative phases.

Essential Function
Provides skilled assistance to the surgeon.
Assists with individual operating room set up
Assists with positioning prepping and draping the patient.
Communicates with the surgeon and health care team regarding patients condition

Job Requirements

College degree in health related field

Certified First Assistant - Certified Surgical Technologists (CST/CSFA)

Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
