About the Role

Platform Science is looking for a Medior Software Engineer for their Core Product Development team in Leuven this role you will be involved as a full stack developer in the Design & Development of Video Intelligence solutions and will also work on integrating with and enhancing the various other software products developed by Platform Science - EU. This is a highly collaborative position where you will coordinate implementation with feature development teams in Brazil and the US. This is a full-time position.

You report to the Software Development Manager.

The place of work is located at Leuven Belgium - Hybrid/Remote.

Essential Responsibilities

• You participate in the complete product development cycle starting from analysis architecture design coding unit integration and system testing of software.

• You implement the solution and coordinate with the feature development teams in Brazil and the US.

• You provide ongoing sustaining support to the product addressing end to end feature enhancements.

• You review and work with others (Product Management Technical Architects Development Engineers Software Development Manager) to confirm and track feature requirements through to delivery.

• You are a member of an agile development team (Scrum methodology) and participate in the planning and execution of work items.

Experience

Required experience

• 4-6 years of total experience in software development.

• Strong proficiency with the ecosystem (including ExpressJS).

• Strong experience in modern front-end development with React (including Redux).

• Experience with NoSQL Databases like MongoDB Elasticsearch and Redis/Memcached.

• Experience with AWS Services (AWS SDK S3 Lambda EC2 EKS) and container orchestration (Kubernetes Docker Helm Terraform).

• Experience with FFmpeg (fluent-ffmpeg) for video transcoding and processing.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka and RabbitMQ/AMQP messaging systems.

• Knowledge of other technologies like Kotlin Python Angular TS or React Native.

• Familiarity with hardware streams (e.g. Streamax N9M protocol).

Over de functie

Platform Science is op zoek naar een Medior Software Engineer voor hun Core Product Development team in Leuven België. In deze rol bent u betrokken als een full stack ontwikkelaar bij het Ontwerp & de Ontwikkeling van Video Intelligence oplossingen en werkt u ook aan de integratie met en verbetering van de diverse andere softwareproducten die ontwikkeld zijn door Platform Science - EU. Dit is een zeer collaboratieve functie waarbij u de implementatie coördineert met functiespecifieke ontwikkelingsteams in Brazilië en de VS. Dit is een fulltime functie.

U rapporteert aan de Software Development Manager.

De plaats van tewerkstelling is gevestigd te Leuven België - Hybride.

Essentiële verantwoordelijkheden

• U neemt deel aan de volledige productontwikkelingscyclus beginnend bij analyse architectuur ontwerp codering unit integratie en systeemtesten van software.

• U implementeert de oplossing en coördineert met de feature development teams in Brazilië en de VS.

• U biedt voortdurende ondersteuning aan het product en richt zich op end-to-end featureverbeteringen.

• U overlegt en werkt samen met anderen (Product Management Technische Architecten Ontwikkelingsingenieurs Software Development Manager) om featurevereisten te bevestigen en op te volgen tot de oplevering.

• U bent lid van een agile ontwikkelingsteam (Scrum methodologie) en neemt deel aan de planning en uitvoering van werkitems.

Ervaring

Vereiste ervaring

• 4-6 jaar totale ervaring in softwareontwikkeling.

• Sterke vaardigheid met het ecosysteem (inclusief ExpressJS).

• Ruime ervaring in moderne front-end ontwikkeling met React (inclusief Redux).

• Ervaring met NoSQL Databases zoals MongoDB Elasticsearch en Redis/Memcached.

• Ervaring met AWS Services (AWS SDK S3 Lambda EC2 EKS) en containerorkestratie (Kubernetes Docker Helm Terraform).

• Ervaring met FFmpeg (fluent-ffmpeg) voor videotranscodering en -verwerking.

• Uitstekende mondelinge en schriftelijke communicatievaardigheden.

Prettige extras
