Specialist Environment Air (BWON, TRI and AER)

The Specialist Environment Air reports to the El Segundo Refinery Regulatory and Compliance Manager and plays a key role in maintaining compliance with air related Chevron and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

Provides Benzene Waste Operations NESHAP regulations (BWON) Toxics Release Inventory regulations(TRI) and Annual Emissions Report (AER) technical support to the Refinery
Provides operational guidance for air compliance and air sampling
Undertakes air data QA/QC and air emissions calculations
Prepares and submits Chevron and regulatory compliance reports
Co-ordinates the completion of compliance tasks
Develops and delivers training materials

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Science or other related scientific disciplines
Quantified experience: minimum 7 years experience in air regulation permitting and compliance role
Experience in interpreting and complying with environmental regulations and implementing programs/procedures for sustained compliance
Air emissions estimations knowledge / experience for emission sources common to the oil and gas industry
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong computing and use of Microsoft applications skills (i.e. excel word outlook teams etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience working collaboratively with regulators
Ability to simplify complex regulatory information for stakeholders
Prior experience conducting in person training with workers

Relocation Options:

Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
