Reporting to : Head of Moulding and Trimming.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Injection Molding Rubber Expert to lead and manage our rubber molding operations in India. This role requires deep technical expertise in rubber injection molding processes materials and machinery along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will play a key role in improving productivity resolving technical challenges and supporting the development of new rubber compounds and products for a variety of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Transfer.
  • Project Management.
  • Lead day-to-day injection molding operations ensuring high efficiency product quality and process stability.
  • Provide technical expertise in rubber processing including elastomer behavior curing characteristics and mold design.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process issues related to flow cure de-molding shrinkage flash and tool wear.
  • Collaborate with R&D QA and Production teams to scale up new rubber compounds and formulations.
  • Develop and optimize molding parameters for different rubber types and part geometries.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in machine setup maintenance tooling and quality control.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean Six Sigma Kaizen) in productivity and waste reduction.
  • Train and mentor local engineering and production teams in rubber injection molding technologies.
  • Interface with global technical teams to align local operations with international quality and performance standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Polymer Science Rubber Technology Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 6-10 years of hands-on experience in rubber / plastic injection molding preferably in an automotive industrial or medical-grade manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of rubber materials (NR NBR EPDM FKM HNBR Silicone etc.) and their processing behavior.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machinery tooling and auxiliary equipment (e.g. degassing mold temperature controllers).
  • Experience with troubleshooting molding defects (e.g. short shots flash voids cure issues).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 IATF 16949 or similar quality systems.
  • Exposure to compound development material testing (e.g. rheology Mooney viscosity MDR) and mold flow simulation is a plus.
  • Strong leadership communication and team-building skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced hands-on manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working with global teams.
  • Knowledge of automation robotics and digital manufacturing tools in molding.
  • Experience setting up or expanding injection molding operations/plants.
