Job Description

The Life Enrichment Director plans and coordinates a variety of social events to provide a vibrant and active community life for our residents. Some of those activities include:

• Determine residentprogram preferences talents and needs through resident feedback new resident orientation resident council meetings and communication with resident families.
• Plan daily and weekly programsto engage residents in the community to meet their social physical emotional and psychological needs.
• Assist in planning programs and eventsthat encourage prospective residents to participate in community life and programs.
• Involve the resident/family in planning activity programs when possible
• Safely transport senior residents to doctors appointments and other places in a timely and disciplined manner.
• Load and unload wheelchairs and walkers from vehicle. Help residents into car or non-CDL bus and help residents out to their appointments and activities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of activity programming experience.
• 1 years of leadership experience in senior living preferred.
• Must be flexible dependable work well under pressure and be a self-starter
• Able to move at least 50 pounds including tables and chair on a regular basis
• Valid drivers license and clean driving report.
• CPR certified
• Ability to plan and communicate in both written and spoken English
• A love for seniors!
• Highly organized and great time management skills
• Energetic engaging and caring personality
