Girls' Varsity Basketball Head Coach

General Statement of Duties: To develop and support all activities related to athletic coaching roleReports to: Athletic Director or Principal when A.D. is not available. Performance Responsibilities:Instructs and demonstrates skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement Ensures a coach is present at all practices and appropriate training programs and practice that proper cleaning storage and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms and updated inventories are adhered to in conjunction with the Athletic with student-athletes on the team bus both to and from recommendations regarding the purchase of uniforms equipment and with the Athletic Director in preparing practice and game necessary records and completes required paperwork and required team statistics in a specified time and that proper form(s) (physical attendance medical information) are obtained and current in conjunction with the Athletic Director and Nurses with the support of the Athletic Director that all student-athletes are eligible and are in good physical condition from the beginning to the end of the discipline policies and emphasizes sportsmanship and healthy students in locker rooms at home and away games and ensures appropriate and secures all office storage room outside doors locker rooms and all lights after the last player leaves after games and practices. Ensures that appropriate rules and regulations regarding the conduct and eligibility of athletic activities and athletes are explained and a safe environment and facilities for student-athletes at all timesCompletes District injury report for any student injured within 24 hours even if student-athlete does not see a athlete rosters to the Athletic Director before the first practice one week before the first game any changes to student information on the roster final season statistics and alphabetical list of award winners immediately following the season (the list includes the number of awards earned and the class or the athlete.).Consult with the Athletic Director regarding any off-season training duties to all assistant coaches under his/her jurisdiction; including pre-season practice thoughtfully and courteously with students staff parents fellow coaches and officials and resolves conflict in a professional maintains and secures confidential records and represents the school and the District in interactions with students parents community staff and the mediaAttends or delegates attendance of Assistant Coach to all League Coaches appropriate certifications and training hours as work regularly and is other duties as may be requested by the Superintendent and or his designee
