Position Overview

Royal Canin Fremont is seeking a dedicated Senior Operator to lead sanitation and production operations ensuring the highest standards of food safety quality and team performance. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in food manufacturing who are passionate about driving operational excellence and supporting associate development.

Key Responsibilities

Sanitation Leadership:

Guide and monitor weekly Master Sanitation Schedule activities.
Lead sanitation and hypoallergenic cleaning tasks ensuring timely completion and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Develop weekly crewing plans and allocate tasks to sanitation team members.
Ensure QSSM compliance and coordinate amendments in collaboration with R&D.

Operational Excellence:

Maintain operational standards and drive daily site sanitation operations.
Make quality and process decisions to ensure products meet Brand specifications.
Support and coach up to 20 associates and contractors per shift.
Fill in for line manager as needed and provide leadership across multiple process areas.

Safety & Compliance:

Enforce use of personal protective equipment and compliance with RC and legal requirements.
Ensure adherence to security environmental and fire protection policies.
Support implementation and improvement of quality management systems (ISO 9001 ISO 22000 Mars Standards).
Ensure compliance with CCPs and oPRPs; manage non-conformities and corrective actions.

Quality & Continuous Improvement:

Perform standard quality checks and other quality-related duties.
Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.
Analyze and resolve root causes of issues ensuring quality is prioritized in decision-making.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
13 years experience in food manufacturing.
Flexible to work shifts overtime weekends and holidays as needed.
Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to create a safe work environment.
Experience with equipment operation maintenance and troubleshooting.
Proficient in basic desktop computer systems and inventory control principles.
Forklift operation experience preferred.
Knowledge of production schedules plant products and Mars systems.
