Job Summary
Job Title: Surgical Technologist (CVOR)
Location: Houston TX
Type: Contract
Shift: 2:30 PM 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $42 $45 per hour
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seekingSurgical Technologist (CVOR)for an exciting Travel or Local job in Houston TX.
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and ready for use.
Assist physicians during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures by anticipating surgical needs.
Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control standards throughout all procedures.
Accurately count instruments sponges and supplies before during and after surgery.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.
Train and mentor less experienced surgical staff as needed.
Follow all hospital and departmental policies procedures and safety protocols.
Requirements:
Certification:
Current BLS certification (AHA).
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT.
Experience:
Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) is required.
Strong knowledge of surgical procedures sterile techniques and patient safety standards.
