We are seeking a visionary and experienced Chief Engineer to join our dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. As the leader of our engineering department you will play a crucial role in driving innovation efficiency and excellence in our facilitys operations and infrastructure management.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering team fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all building systems and equipment
- Oversee and manage complex engineering projects ensuring timely completion within budget constraints
- Analyze and optimize energy consumption implementing cutting-edge conservation measures to reduce operational costs
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian building codes safety regulations and industry standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize the impact of maintenance activities on daily operations
- Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors ensuring high-quality service delivery
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation including maintenance records project reports and budget forecasts
- Respond decisively to emergency situations coordinating necessary repairs and minimizing downtime
- Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies and best practices in facility management and engineering
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning for facility improvements and upgrades with a focus on sustainability and innovation

Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical or related field)
- Possess a valid A4 Chargeman Certificate
- Professional Engineering license
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in facility management or related field with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record in managing large-scale engineering projects and maintenance operations
- Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC electrical plumbing and fire safety
- Expertise in energy management and conservation techniques
- Proficiency in project management and budgeting
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficiency in using facility management software and MS Office suite
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed
- Familiarity with Malaysian building codes and regulations
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends
- Experience with sustainable engineering practices
- Knowledge of local building regulations and standards in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia
