Job Summary

Join our dynamic Environmental Laboratory team at SGS Notting Hill as a Laboratory Technician and play a key role in delivering accurate high-quality analytical results that help protect our this full-time role youll perform testing and reporting on a variety of sample types including soil water air and other environmental matrices using both conventional techniques and cutting-edge instrumentation such as GC GC/MSMS HPLC LC/MSMS ICP/MS and FIA across our Inorganic Organic and Radio Chemistry sections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare samples and perform analytical and radio chemistry testing including reporting of results.
  • Conduct laboratory equipment calibrations and routine maintenance.
  • Follow and comply with laboratory QA/QC procedures and NATA accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe laboratory environment protecting equipment and preventing contamination.
  • Continuously update skills and knowledge through training and on-the-job development.
  • Use safety equipment correctly at all times and report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment immediately.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Team Leader.

Qualifications :

To Be Successful in This Role

  • Tertiary qualification in Science preferably Chemistry.
  • Experience working in a general laboratory environment is highly desirable.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and working hours as required.
