Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

1. General Ledger (GL) Management & Reconciliation

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accurate financial reporting.
  • Process journal entries and ensure proper documentation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions into the appropriate account.

2. Prepayment & Fixed Asset Accounting

  • Manage and monitor prepayment schedules ensuring proper amortization.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register ensuring proper capitalization and depreciation.
  • Together with designated finance team members perform periodic physical asset verification and reconcile with records.

3. Bank Reconciliation & Treasury Support

  • Perform timely bank reconciliations identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash balances and support treasury operations.
  • Ensure alignment between bank statements and financial records.

4. Subsidiary Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Provide support in the preparation of financial statements for subsidiaries in accordance with IFRS.
  • Ensure intercompany transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
  • Support internal and external audits with required documentation.

5. Process Optimization & Risk Management

  • Identify and implement process improvements for financial reporting efficiency.
  • Ensure financial risk mitigation through compliance with company policies.

6. Procurement:

  • Implement SOP and coordinate all procurement efforts ensuring timely order placement and vendor payments.
  • Carry out periodic stock count

Bank ReconciliationEnsures timely reconciliation of bank accounts and resolution of discrepancies.
ERP & Accounting SystemsExperience with SAP Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics for GL and reporting.
Financial Reporting & ComplianceKnowledge of IFRS internal controls and regulatory reporting.
Audit & Risk ManagementStrong understanding of internal and external audit requirements.
Intercompany AccountingEnsures proper recording of intercompany transactions and eliminations.
ProcurementPurchases vendor and stocks managent.



  • HND or Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics or a related field.
  • A minimum of a Second Class Upper (2:1) or Upper Credit is required.
  • 24 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting (group/subsidiary reporting experience is an advantage).
  • Professional certification in view (ACA/ACCA) is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in financial management software (e.g. SAP Oracle QuickBooks Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid understanding of IFRS regulatory compliance and audit standards.
  • Strong analytical numerical and documentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
