As a Human Resources Associate youll be the go-to person for employees and supervisors across several state agencies located at the Capitol Complex. Youll support every step of an employees journey from hiring and onboarding to pay benefits and more. Youll work with payroll recruitment interviews and benefits making sure everything follows state and federal rules. Youll also serve as the main contact for benefits through the Employees Group Insurance and Wyoming Retirement System helping employees understand their options to get enrolled.

Human Resource Contact: Lindsey Galindo / /Serve as the HR contact for multiple state agencies answering questions and providing guidance on policies benefits and payroll.
Process payroll and timecards accurately and on time.
Post job openings help coordinate interviews and guide supervisors through the hiring process.
Welcome new employees and walk them through onboarding benefits and HR paperwork.
Maintain accurate HR and personnel records including timesheets and medical files following state and federal laws.
Support benefit programs by helping employees enroll in the Employees Group Insurance and the Wyoming Retirement System.
Prepare HR reports that help agency leaders make informed decisions.
Provide friendly and professional customer service to employees managers and the public.
PREFERENCE:
Experience with an online HR Management System including payroll and benefits enrollment is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE:
Human resources practices including payroll hiring benefits and employee relations.
Federal and state employment laws such as FMLA ADA FLSA and EEOC.
State of Wyoming Personnel Rules policies and procedures.
Google and Microsoft Office.
Payroll and HR systems used for processing employee information.
Recordkeeping confidentiality and data accuracy standards.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to organize prioritize and meet deadlines.
Skill in interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position takes place in an average office work environment.
