Job Summary

Future Skills is a highly rated Category 1 Private Tertiary Establishment with campuses in Manukau Wiri Royal Oak and Takapuna. We are a well-established institution that delivers a range of educational programmes from Level 2 Certificates through to Level 7 Degrees.

We are seeking an experienced Academic Programme Coordinator (IT) to support the delivery and coordination of our IT Programmes within the Domestic Division. This is a full-time permanent role working closely with the Head of Department to ensure quality teaching delivery student support and academic compliance.

In this role you will provide day-to-day programme coordination across multiple intakes and support academic delivery in collaboration with lecturers contractors tutors and institutional teams. As our IT programmes are primarily delivered in the evenings and online the flexibility of the role may at times involve coordinating or supporting activities that align with those delivery schedules such as managing communications assessments or student engagement.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with the below skills and / or experience where they can deliver high quality outcomes:

  • Relevant industry-related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in academic coordination programme delivery or teaching support
  • Strong understanding of NZQA compliance assessment and moderation requirements
  • Understanding of academic quality processes and student lifecycle
  • Sound knowledge of software development AI data analytics or business intelligence
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and manage multiple intakes
  • Experience using Moodle or LMS platforms is desirable
  • Masters Degree is essential (PhD is favourable) in IT Computer Science Software Engineering Data/AI Business Intelligence or a closely related field
