Mountain Views Supervisory Union Woodstock VT Area
The Mountain Views Supervisory Union is seeking dependable caring and safety-minded drivers to join our transportation team! Our Special Education Student Drivers play a vital role in ensuring students can access their school programs each day safely reliably and with kindness.
We have both part-time regular routes and per diem substitute opportunities available primarily based in the Killington and Woodstock areas.
What Youll Do
Safely transport students with disabilities to and from school programs and placements according to assigned routes and schedules.
Provide a calm supportive and positive experience for students during each trip.
Follow all district policies traffic laws and safety procedures.
Communicate promptly with the transportation coordinator regarding any schedule changes concerns or maintenance needs.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
What Were Looking For
A valid Vermont drivers license and a clean driving record (no major violations or accidents in the past three years).
The ability to pass a criminal background check.
Someone who is dependable punctual and able to work independently.
Experience working with or around children especially those with special needs is a plus.
Ability to assist students safely in and out of vehicles when needed.
Schedule & Compensation
Part-time: approximately 24 hours per day split between morning and afternoon routes.
Per diem substitute positions also available.
District vehicle provided for all assigned routes.
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
