Job Summary
Registered Nurse Full-Time (Night Shift 8:00 PM 8:30 AM every other weekend needed)
Empath Health is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Care Center this PRN role youll provide skilled nursing care to patients with life-limiting or complex illnesses delivering services across our facilities and supporting families during critical stages of care. This position is overnight (8:00 PM 8:30 AM) with flexible scheduling to meet patient and organizational needs.

What Youll Do
Provide skilled nursing care to patients across the Care Center
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer monitor and document medications via all routes following best practice age-specific care guidelines
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) physicians and families to coordinate care and evaluate progress
Apply palliative care and end-of-life principles with compassion and professionalism
Promote patient safety through infection control adherence to policies and teaching patients and families
Supervise and support LPNs and Home Health Aides as needed
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR according to policy and guidelines
Participate in educational programs mandatory trainings and competency evaluations
Support Care Center operations including staffing ratios disaster preparedness and regulatory compliance
Position Requirements
Active Florida RN license
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferably with terminally ill or chronically ill patients; acute or post-acute care experience preferred
CPR certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
Valid Florida drivers license and reliable transportation
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs standing and walking for long periods and bending squatting or reaching as needed
Strong clinical assessment critical thinking communication and care coordination skills
Flexibility to work at alternate facilities as needed
