Job Summary

Who Are We

We are a rapidly growing Real-Estate Private Equity group building a next-generation data and technology platform to power its business operations analytics and AI initiatives. Were seeking a Founding Senior or Staff Backend / Platform Engineer to take a foundational role in this effort someone who can architect build and scale data-driven systems from the ground up.

This is a greenfield opportunity to define the technical direction of a new platform and collaborate directly with senior leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable making key architectural decisions enjoys working in fast-moving environments and is motivated by high-impact ownership.

Whats The Job

Lead the design and development of the companys core data and technology infrastructure.
Build scalable backend systems APIs and pipelines to integrate and manage diverse datasets (structured unstructured geospatial and imagery).
Partner with data scientists and product teams to bring advanced analytics and AI/ML capabilities into production.
Establish best practices for DevOps cloud infrastructure and system reliability.
Explore and implement emerging technologies in AI and data engineering to keep the organization ahead of the curve.

What Skills Do You Need

510 years of experience in software / data / platform engineering including senior or staff-level ownership of backend systems.
Demonstrated success building scalable data-intensive platforms or services from the ground up.
Strong proficiency in Python and SQL (or comparable backend languages and frameworks).
Experience designing and deploying data pipelines APIs and integrations that support both analytics and end-user applications.
Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work across technical and business teams.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related technical field (advanced degree a plus).
Bonus: experience with real-asset data location-based / geospatial data or similar complex domains.

Compensation:

$150000 - $200000 Base Salary
$20000 - $30000 Bonus
