Job Summary
Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN)
Location: Arizona
Schedule: Flexible options: 7am3pm 8am4pm or 8am5pm MondayFriday no weekends
Overview:
Seeking a licensed RN or LPN to provide specialized wound care for residents. This role includes assessment management and prevention of wounds ostomies and skin breakdown while serving as a clinical resource for staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform wound assessments reassessments and management per facility policies
Develop skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown
Participate in policy development for wound care ostomy care and incontinence management
Revise and evaluate care plans based on patient response
Assess and manage pain; educate residents and families
Provide in-services and training to nursing staff on wound care and prevention
Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Ensure documentation meets current standards and maintain compliance
Stay current on wound care advancements and participate in continuing education
Requirements:
Current Arizona RN or LPN license
CWOCN or CWCN certification
DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card
Current CPR/BLS certification
Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care preferred
Ability to complete TB testing Hepatitis B vaccination or declination drug testing COVID vaccination verification competency testing and background/APS checks
