Job Summary

Job Title: Travel RN Med Surg Oncology

Location: Morgantown WV

Duration: 13 weeks (extendable)

Shift: Days 5x8 Hours

Pay Rate: $2148 weekly gross

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (Med Surg Oncology) for a travel contract in West Virginia. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate and evidence-based care to oncology patients within a medical-surgical setting ensuring optimal recovery and patient satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology and med-surg patients.
Administer medications chemotherapy (if certified) and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor assess and document patient progress symptoms and responses to therapy.
Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on treatment processes medications and post-discharge care.
Maintain accurate documentation using the facilitys EMR system.
Uphold infection control safety and ethical standards at all times.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg Oncology experience required.
Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic hospital environment.

Certifications & Licensure:

AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Required
OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) Preferred
ONS (Oncology Nursing Society Certification) Preferred
