Industrial Engineers apply advanced problem-solving techniques and Lean Manufacturing principles to design develop and optimize production processes to maximize throughput efficiency and value. Industrial Engineers are involved in Process Mapping Capacity Planning Manpower Planning Factory Layout Line Balancing Simulation and Process Modeling Labor Performance Analysis and Project Management.
What you will do
- Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
- Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints improve efficiency and meet or exceed cost quality and on-time delivery goals.
- Create process flows value stream maps pareto charts spaghetti diagrams and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes the movement of material the exchange of information and key metrics.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory capacity Manufacturing Technology insertion infrastructure improvements obsolescence mitigation and the integration of new capabilities.
- Partner with project managers and factory support functions to improve modify the factory footprint and layout of factory equipment as needed.
- Support program contract proposals business case development for future investments supplier assessments and Make/Buy/Where analyses.
Qualifications you must have:
- Typically requires: Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics. Preferred majors are: Industrial Engineering and Systems Engineering.
- minimum of 5 years of applicable experience.
- Experience/Education with CAD software
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience/Education with simulation modeling and capacity analysis
- Experience/Education with factory layout and work cell design /optimization
- Experience/Education with project management
- Experience/Education with CAD software
- Six Sigma certifications

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD - 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
