Job Summary

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate student enrolled full time at an accredited college/university studying Mechanical Engineering Materials Science or related field.
  • Experience or coursework in 3D Printing
  • A minimum overall 3.0 GPA
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Undergraduate Internships ($26.16/hour - $31.47/hour)
  • Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($32.87/hour - $35.26/hour)
  • PhD Internships Post-Candidacy ($35.95/hour - $38.41/hour)
  • Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.
  • Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on degree field and level of education.

Reporting to the Analytical Chemistry & Characterization group you will support projects focused on additive manufacturing of sensors and electronics for extreme environments. This will be a hands-on research experience as the projects will involve the development of a materials reactor and operating direct write technologies.

This team works a 9x80 schedule onsite at our Research Education Campus facility in Idaho Falls ID. Start date and duration of internship vary based on project and student availability. You may be eligible for course credit for this internship if approved by your university.
