Join a team dedicated to protecting the safety and integrity of U.S. air travel. Peraton is seeking an Alaska Liaison to join our team of qualified diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of connection between theFederal Aviation Administration (FAA) local aviation stakeholders and community partners across will ensure that FAA modernization initiatives safety programs and infrastructure projectsare aligned with the unique operational and cultural needs of Alaskas aviation ecosystem.

In this position you will:

  • Act as theprimary point of contactbetween FAA leadership and Alaska aviation stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication coordinate stakeholder engagement and provide on-the-ground support to ensure FAA priorities are effectively implemented in Alaskas distinct environment.

  • Facilitatestakeholder engagement outreach and coordinationwith local operators airports community leaders and industry partners.

  • Support the implementation ofFAA safety initiatives modernization programs and infrastructure improvementsin Alaska.

  • Communicate regional challenges and feedback to FAA program teams ensuringlocal priorities are integrated into planning.

  • Monitor and report on program execution risks and stakeholder concerns.

  • Providelogistical and coordination supportfor FAA deployments site visits and program activities in Alaska.

  • Supportsafety awareness programs training sessions and information-sharing efforts.

  • Assist inconflict resolutionand facilitate cooperation between FAA and community stakeholders.

  • Prepare and deliverbriefings reports and recommendationsto FAA leadership on Alaska-specific aviation issues.

  • Ability to managestakeholder relationships across diverse groups.
  • Ability to travel across remote Alaska regions to support FAA initiatives.

  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelors degree and 12 years of experience or Masters degree and 10 years or Associates degree and 14 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 16 years experience.
  • Experiencein aviation operations and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong knowledge ofaviation operations in Alaska.
  • Familiarity with aviation safety programs regulations and modernization priorities.
  • Experience working withfederal state tribal or local aviation stakeholders.
  • Knowledge ofrisk identification and mitigation strategiesin aviation contexts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with or for theFAA DOT or state aviation authorities.

  • Familiarity withFAA NextGen and Alaska aviation safety initiatives.

  • Background incommunity relations government affairs or regional program management.

  • Experience inaviation safety advocacy or outreachin remote or underserved communities.

  • Masters degree inAviation Public Policy or related discipline.

Target Salary Range

$104000 - $166000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
