Position Overview:
The Software Systems Architect leads the design specification and integration of both Flight and Ground Software Systems for Lander and Transporter vehicles. This position ensures the architectural consistency requirements traceability and digital configuration management needed to achieve mission assurance and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the derivation of Level 5 (L5) software requirements from provided L4 system baselines for both Flight and Ground environments.
- Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTMs) to ensure bi-directional linkage between system software and test cases.
- Oversee the creation of software requirements specifications (SRS) software design documents (SDD) and interface control documents (ICDs).
- Ensure configuration control through a Software Configuration Management Plan (SCMP) aligned to NASA AS9115 standards.
- Participate in milestone reviews (PDR CDR TRR) and lead technical discussions to ensure design integrity.
- Coordinate integration with the CI/CD pipeline to validate architectural compliance and build traceability.
- Evaluate and report on software audit readiness and compliance against internal and external process requirements.
- Provide weekly technical updates identify risks and mitigation strategies in accordance with submission requirements (Microsoft Office SFTP Jules).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or Systems Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in flight software systems requirements management and digital integration.
- Proficiency with DOORS Cameo or equivalent MBSE tools.
- Familiarity with NASA AS9115 SPEC 2661 and CI/CD toolchains (e.g. Jenkins GitLab Azure DevOps).
Clearance: U.S. Citizenship is required
