We are seeking a motivated and experienced Kitting Production Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift manufacturing team in Ripon WI. As a first-line leader you will guide and support your team to achieve production goals ensure quality standards and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a leader with hands-on experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments who thrives on coaching problem-solving and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise team members within your production area to meet daily production schedules and quality goals
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and encourage team members to contribute ideas for process enhancements
- Uphold the companys core values demonstrating respect and fairness in all interactions and decisions
- Identify and reduce waste while enhancing lean operations and team member skills
- Ensure all employees are trained in safety quality standards equipment operation and 6S practices
- Collaborate with technical staff to resolve production issues and maintain operational efficiency
- Set and track annual goals aligned with production metrics
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations issues working with Union Stewards when necessary
- Monitor work-in-progress inventory and identify opportunities for process optimization
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Business Manufacturing Engineering or Operations preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a medium to high-volume manufacturing environment preferred
- Previous manufacturing supervision experience preferred
- Professional internship or co-op experience in manufacturing considered relevant
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven leadership abilities with a servant leadership mindset including coaching mentoring and team supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to encourage proactive solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook Word and Excel
- Familiarity with process control production scheduling Kaizen Kanban and Lean manufacturing principles preferred
- Self-driven ambitious and capable of motivating and developing a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stoop bend and stand for long periods
- Manual dexterity required
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
