Job Title: Information Technology Assistant Manager
Location: Prince Albert Saskatchewan
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Immediate Supervisor: Chief Financial Officer
Job Summary:
ADEA is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Information Technology Assistant Manager to support the delivery of high-quality IT services across our educational institutions. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who is passionate about empowering Denesuline First Nations education through innovative and reliable technology solutions. The successful candidate will assist in managing IT operations supporting infrastructure and leading a team of IT professionals to ensure seamless technology integration in support of ADEAs mission.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or systems administration with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience working in educational or First Nations organizations is an asset.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA Microsoft Cisco ITIL) are considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the IT Manager in overseeing daily IT operations including network administration hardware/software support and cybersecurity.
- Support the planning and implementation of IT projects aligned with ADEAs strategic goals.
- Ensure the security integrity and reliability of all IT systems and data.
- Provide technical support and training to staff and educators across ADEA schools.
- Maintain documentation of systems procedures and configurations.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure optimal performance and value.
- Troubleshot and maintain ADEA networks in remote locations.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure networking and systems administration.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations.
- Experience with cloud-based services remote support tools and educational technologies.
- Cultural awareness and sensitivity to Denesuline First Nations communities and values.
- Team building and collaboration
- Work with minimal supervision
