Job Duties
This position is responsible for the operational management of the Pharmacy Department which includes planning developing and implementing systems improvements as well as continuous automation of pharmacy programs inventory control purchasing and cost containment initiatives. Provides clinical service including drug usage evaluation drug reaction evaluation evaluation of medication variations and other quality improvement initiatives.
This position is considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency pandemic or facility need. All ESH positions are required to work different shifts to include nights weekends and holidays and/or overtime as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
Registered Licensed Pharmacist issued by the Virginia Board of Pharmacy.
Additional Considerations
Board of Pharmaceutical Specialty Certification.
Doctor of Pharmacy ASHP Residency.
