| Job Description: | The University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals is seeking a motivated and creative Marketing and Outreach Assistant to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain meaningful hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while contributing directly to impactful marketing and outreach initiatives. Job Duties Include: 1. Content Development: The assistant will be responsible for creating valuable content that highlights the services offered by the University of Florida Veterinary Hospitals. This includes writing and editing materials for newsletters websites and social media platforms. The role requires interacting with staff clients and patients to gather stories testimonials and information for content that resonates with the target audience. The successful candidate will have strong writing and editing skills attention to detail and the ability to present content in an engaging and effective manner. 2. Outreach: The assistant will support relationship-building efforts with referring veterinarians by helping develop communications fulfilling information and material requests and coordinating annual appreciation campaigns. This role requires excellent communication skills initiative and a working knowledge of the veterinary industry. 3. Event Planning and Coordination: Responsibilities include assisting with event logistics such as promoting events coordinating invitations preparing event materials (programs name badges etc.) monitoring budgets and expenses and ensuring that events are executed smoothly. The assistant will manage event registration work with vendors and maintain event timelines. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential. Schedule: This position involves up to 20 hours per week during regular business hours generally Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional evening and weekend availability required for events. |

| Required qualifications | Associates degree and at least one year of appropriate experience in communications marketing public relations journalism or a related field. |

| Preferred: | Previous experience in veterinary marketing and/or outreach. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud. Photography and videography experience. |
