One of our automotive clients in Simcoe ON is looking for an Engineering Technologist for their facility.
Shift - Day
Pay - $67K - $85K
Responsibilities:

Develops and implements continuous improvement strategies to optimize overall equipment performance in terms of quality safety efficiency and reliability.

Addresses and resolves issues applying corrective measures and enhancements as necessary.
-
Collaborates with the Engineering and Management teams to prioritize tasks spanning all stages from research and development to design and manufacturing.
-
Investigates researches and suggests cost-effective equipment modifications to enhance machine reliability safety product quality and throughput.
-
Drafts technical specifications for the acquisition of equipment tooling and utilities.
-
Takes the lead in designing constructing conducting acceptance testing and overseeing installation for equipment and tooling.
-
Establishes operational process parameters for both equipment and tooling.
-
Contributes to the maintenance documentation for equipment including spare part lists preventative maintenance procedures troubleshooting guides lockout procedures etc.
-
Participates in the manufacturing process of prototype parts and shares insights gained.
-
Programs all Stamping equipment for the setup of new Dies/Part production.
Qualifications:

Demonstrated proficiency in collaborating within a Cross-Functional Technical Team.

Experience in anticipating potential process failures.
-
Strong technical and analytical skills for effective problem-solving.

Self-reliant systematic and methodical in approach
-
Diligent and detail-oriented.
-
Proficiency in pneumatics hydraulics and controls to support manufacturing operations.
-
Sound knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints for various tooling jigs fixtures electrical hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
-
Essential PLC programming/troubleshooting experience.
-
Python scripting skills are beneficial.
-
Familiarity with Ignition inductive automation/Kepware server is an advantage.

Intermediate proficiency in MS Office; AutoCAD skills are an asset.
-
Strong comprehension of automation and/or Robotics is a plus.
- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Manufacturing Electrical or Industrial Engineering.

At least 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting preferably with hands-on involvement.
-
Mechanical or electrical expertise with a minimum of 3 years of troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.
