AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineering/EIT for the Structural Group within our Transportation team based in Markham Ontario. This is a newly created position.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Working within the (Structural) Design group on the design of bridges retaining walls an other transportation infrastructure
- Preparation of reports construction plans and technical specifications
- Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers technicians and planners
- Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations drawings and visual aids
- Following corporate quality procedures

- Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as AutoCAD Civil3D MicroStation Midas STAAD RISA3D and SAP2000)
- Relevant internship or professional work experience in support of transportation design
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities and interpersonal skills
- Capable of using spreadsheet word processing Microsoft Project and standard office software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
