Position: Formulation Technician I
Location: Sunnyvale CA 94085
Duration: 12 Months
Job Type: Contract
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Monday to Friday from 02:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Summary:
Work as part of a team in a manufacturing laboratory responsible for synthesizing and testing ion exchange media used in chromatography consumables. Focus on producing high-quality products while maintaining a safe and organized lab environment.
Responsibilities:
- Test resin products using specialized instruments to meet customer demand.
- Record and report test results accurately maintaining proper documentation.
- Complete production work-orders following established procedures.
- Adhere to corporate quality policies and safety requirements.
- Actively participate in safety improvement activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing operations production or a laboratory setting in either academic or industrial background.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory and Manufacturing Practices (GLP/GMP).
- Strong mathematical problem-solving and organizational abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow written procedures (SOPs) and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with hand tools (e.g. wrenches torque drivers tweezers).
- Basic PC literacy including experience with spreadsheet and database software.
- Physical ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds and perform lab tasks involving standing sitting walking and using hands/fingers.
- Visual acuity to detect small components and particles.
- Willingness to work in environments with chemical exposure moving mechanical parts moderate noise and wearing required PPE.
