The Onsite Event Venue Manager II is the primary client liaison for assigned programs and events in a specific venue onsite at the clients campus. Manages the overall coordination and execution of an entire program/event from an operational and attendee experience perspective. Responsible for coordination of all program planning and event execution while providing unparalleled levels of customer service.About The Role:
The Event Venue Manager serves as the onsite expert for assigned venue locations overseeing all aspects of event planning execution and venue operations. This role acts as the primary point of contact for event hosts and internal service partners ensuring high-quality experiences and seamless logistics. The scope of responsibilities varies by venue and includes coordination with internal departments and third-party suppliers.
What Youll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
- Serve as the primary point-of-contact for event hosts and internal service teams.
- Plan and design events in assigned venue space including timelines deliverables and communication plans.
- Lead pre-con meetings and site inspections; ensure supplier service delivery.
- Oversee onsite event execution acting as team lead and ensuring quality assurance across all service areas.
- Manage VIP logistics and special projects ensuring privacy and security protocols are followed.
- Conduct venue audits and submit maintenance requests to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Maintain venue SOPs manage venue calendar and accurately track event data.
What Youll Bring (Must Haves)
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years in meeting/event planning (including incentives association corporation) hotel catering or convention sales.
- Proven success in communicating and interacting effectively with executive-level stakeholders demonstrating professionalism discretion and confidence in high-visibility environments.
- Strong knowledge of program/event management and budget maintenance. Experience project planning. Proven ability to work independently and proactively. Prior experience in effectively handling multiple projects/demands and client escalations.
- Prior successful experience in developing and maintaining key client relationships.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills across all organizational levels (individual contributors suppliers and executive clients.)
- Proficiency in G-suite tools and ability to quickly learn new technology.
Nice To Have (Preferred)
- Experience managing high-profile or incentive events.
- Familiarity with venue operations and emergency response planning.
- Prior work with third-party suppliers and cross-functional teams.

- This is an onsite role M-F location: Reston VA.
- No travel required.

This is an onsite role working hours will flex and adapt to event needs but theyll generally fall within the Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM timeframe. Because of the nature of events occasional work outside these hours including early mornings late evenings may be required. Your manager will work with you to ensure your schedule is balanced.
Employees are responsible for securing their own reliable transportation to and from work and for applicable onsite parking expenses including for early morning late evening assignments.
