What youll do as a Maintenance Repair Worker 3:

• Under general direction of the Administrator Officer of Operations act as lead worker over lower-level maintenance repair workers & other assigned staff.
• Provide guidance technical advice & training regarding maintenance & repair work in the general maintenance areas of carpentry electrical plumbing painting building systems heating & air conditioning (HVAC) & emergency generator & grounds.
• Conduct preliminary research for information in order to provide technical advice related to specific electrical plumbing heating & cooling system building systems concerns & ensure work performed meets compliance regulations.
• Perform skilled & semi-skilled maintenance & repair of equipment.
• Perform skilled & semi-skilled carpentry repairs.

• Perform skilled & semi-skilled repair of plumbing equipment.

Option 1:

Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading writing & speaking common English vocabulary

AND 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. maintenance repair (e.g. basic electrical plumbing carpentry masonry & use of associated hand & power tools & equipment). Valid commercial drivers license required if motor equipment is of type & size regulated by Sections 4506.01 & 4506.12 of Ohio revised code; in Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry only applicants must have successfully completed the mandated basic firefighter/introduction to fire behavior course (S-130/S-190).

-Or Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required but not for the mandated licensure.

Position Specific Minimum Qualifications: Valid Drivers License required to operate state owned vehicle.
