Job Summary
TITLE: Maintenance Staff (Grounds)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid MS Drivers License
- Good health (medical exam not required)
- Prior experience in lawn care and/or landscaping preferred
- Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the School Board
REPORTS TO: Director of Maintenance
JOB GOALS: To maintain Brookhaven School Districts grounds to maximize presentations to visitors the community students and employees.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Such duties as may be assigned including but not limited to the following:
- Performs landscaping and lawn maintenance of all district lawns.
- Maintains a revolving cut schedule
- Insures the safe operation of all equipment assigned
- Uses safety glasses/goggles and other appropriate safety equipment when operating equipment and dispersing chemicals
- Performs maintenance of equipment in regard to the mechanical ability of the employee
- Follows all board policies and procedures
- Maintains regular attendance and is punctual
- Promotes the districts vision mission and goals
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance
JOB EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel
