Roles Available

• Linux Systems Administrator Specialist & Lead
• Windows Systems Administrator Specialist & Lead
• Middleware Systems Administrator Specialist & Lead

Key Responsibilities

Common Across All Roles:

• Install configure upgrade and patch systems in Linux Windows or Middleware environments (on-premises & cloud)
• Perform regular health checks backup/restore operations and system monitoring
• Troubleshoot system performance issues ensuring high availability and uptime
• Manage hybrid infrastructure (AWS Azure GCP on-prem)
• Use ITSM tools such as BMC Helix ServiceNow OpenText for incident problem and change management
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for root cause analysis and resolution
• Participate in shift rotations and standby/on-call duties

Additional Responsibilities for Lead Roles:

• Supervise and mentor team members across shifts
• Plan team rosters and allocate resources based on workload
• Serve as the point of escalation for high-impact incidents
• Drive compliance with internal policies and external standards (e.g. ISO PCI DSS)
• Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders
• Oversee performance tuning capacity planning and system security
• Ensure documentation consistency and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives

Key Challenges

• Supporting complex hybrid environments across multiple platforms and technologies
• Managing uptime SLAs and rapid incident resolution under pressure
• Coordinating with global teams in multi-lingual environments
• Ensuring security compliance and audit readiness
• Balancing operational stability with technological advancement

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills:

• For Linux roles: Strong experience in Red Hat CentOS Ubuntu
• For Windows roles: Expertise in Windows Server platforms (on-prem & cloud)
• For Middleware roles: Experience with application servers web servers and integration layers
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS Azure or GCP)
• Proficient in virtualization backup and storage technologies
• Skilled in ITSM tools: BMC Helix ServiceNow OpenText
• Knowledge in AIX HPUX Solaris is a plus
• Scripting and automation experience is an added advantage

Soft Skills:

• Strong multitasking and time management
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking
• Able to work independently and collaboratively
• Adaptability to shifting priorities and evolving technologies

Language & Communication:

• Fluent in English Mandarin and Cantonese (spoken and written)
• Strong documentation and cross-team communication skills

Experience & Qualifications

Specialist Roles:

• 34 years experience in Linux/Windows/Middleware system administration
• Experience in ITIL-based environments and enterprise-scale IT operations

Lead Roles:

• 67 years experience including team leadership
• Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructure and escalations

Education:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science IT or a related discipline

Certifications (Preferred):

• ITIL Foundation v4
• Relevant platform certifications (e.g. RHCE MCSA WebLogic WebSphere)
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. AWS Certified SysOps Admin Azure Administrator)
