Job Summary
TPF Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a highly respected and long-established accountancy practice currently seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join their dynamic and growing outsourcing team.
This firms outsourcing department plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional client service and underpins the success of the wider business. Youll be joining a team of talented bookkeepers management accountants and payroll administrators where your skills will be highly valued and your development supported.
The Role
As a Senior Bookkeeper youll take ownership of your workload and play an integral part in supporting and guiding the team. Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out bookkeeping duties for a diverse portfolio of clients using software such as Xero QuickBooks FreeAgent and ClearBooks
Supporting clients with software and bookkeeping queries
Liaising with clients to ensure timely submission of records and VAT Returns
Managing and submitting VAT Returns and CIS Returns
Completing bookkeeping to trial balance including bank reconciliations prepayments accruals and more
Preparing relevant schedules and financial reports
Helping to prioritise team workflows and address any day-to-day issues or queries
Requirements
About You
To succeed in this role you will be:
An experienced bookkeeper with 5 years of experience ideally within an accountancy practice
Confident using cloud-based software (Xero QuickBooks etc.)
A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
Well-versed in VAT legislation and compliance
Able to work independently manage your time effectively and meet deadlines
A team player with a proactive approach and keen attention to detail
