Job Summary

SUBJECT: Financial AnalystREPORTS TO: Administrative Director of FinanceThis position will support the Finance Division and is responsible for the comprehensivefinancial management analysis and reporting of district grant funds received through federaland state grant programs. This role ensures strict compliance with all relevant regulationslaws and grant agreements playing a critical role in maximizing grant RESPONSIBILITES:1. Prepare and submit accurate timely and compliant financial reports to districtstakeholders federal and state granting agencies.2. Responsible for the cash management process including timely drawdowns ofminimizing cash-on-hand and ensuring adequate cash flow.3. Perform regular detailed reconciliations of grant ledger accounts with the districtsgeneral ledger in conjunction with the City Auditor.4. Collaborate with Grants Management and district stakeholders to develop manage andmonitor grant budgets ensuring alignment with grant purposes and district needs.5. Conduct deep-dive analysis on budget-to-actual expenditures identifying significantvariances and recommending corrective actions to stakeholders6. Ability to conduct scenario analysis to assess impacts on district financials.7. Collaborate with district departments to better understand financial needs and providedata-driven solutions to existing challenges.8. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by conducting regular data qualitychecks and implementing data validation procedures.9. Ability to utilize data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau Power BI) to create interactivedashboards and reporting that effectively communicates district data.10. Responsible for performing other duties as assigned by the Administrative Director QUALIFICATIONS1. Bachelors degree in finance public administration or related field.2. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis accounting or grantsmanagement with experience managing funds.3. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables complex formulas).4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complexregulations into practical financial procedures.5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to explain complex financialinformation clearly to diverse stakeholders.6. Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex projects and QUALIFICATIONS1. Masters degree in finance public administration or related field.2. 3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or in a similar role.3. Experience with Workday Enterprise Management Software.4.
