About the Role
Centacare NENW is seeking a dedicated Community Engagement & Development Officer to join our Clinical Services team in Armidale. This part-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the field of Community Services and Development.

DescriptionWhat You Will Do
In this hands-on community-facing role you will:
- Connect with individuals and local groups to understand their needs strengths and goals
- Design and deliver inclusive community initiatives that build connection participation and wellbeing
- Develop genuine partnerships with parishes service providers schools First Nations communities and other local stakeholders
- Support the voices of those who may be marginalised or overlooked
- Ensure all engagement activities reflect Catholic Social Teaching
- Celebrate community wins share stories and help shape future direction through local insight

Skills And ExperiencesSkills and Experience
Youre someone who thrives on relationships sees potential in every person and enjoys turning ideas into action. Youll bring:
- A qualification in Youth Work Social Work or a related discipline
- Experience in community engagement youth development group facilitation or program coordinationespecially in health mental health or not-for-profit settings
- A natural ability to build trust and communicate with people from all walks of life
- A passion for social justice inclusion and faith-based mission
- Understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by young people aged 1225 including those from diverse or marginalised backgrounds
- Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of trauma-informed practice
- Motivation initiative and a team mindset
