About the Role
The Health Assistant (Nursing) under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) or equivalent will work as an assistant and support person to the Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to provide delegated aspects of patient care aiding in the smooth running of the allocated ward environments.
Within this role the elements of direct and non-direct patient care will be delegated in accordance with the professional judgement of the supervising Registered Nurse and in accordance with the level of achieved educational preparation and assessed competence of each Health Assistant (Nursing). The Registered Nurse remains accountable for all elements of delegated care
Classifications for these roles will be IN38 - IN39 ($57038.80 - $59670.00 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
Certificate III Health Assistant (nursing) or other relevant certificate or satisfactory completion of second year of study in undergraduate nursing degree.
