DescriptionAs a Cage Shift Manager you will be a key leader in our Casino Cage operations responsible for the accurate and efficient management of all financial transactions and assets during your shift. You will work closely with the Cage Operations Manager and other Shift Managers to safeguard company funds maintain a robust control environment and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role demands strong leadership financial acumen and a commitment to delivering superior guest service. You will also play a crucial role in developing and mentoring your team.
Responsibilities- Manage the overall daily operations of Casino Cages Main Cages and Vaults through subordinate Supervisors on your assigned shift.
- Ensure company funds and assets are safeguarded and that accountability is properly maintained and balanced according to prescribed procedures. Oversee the management of vault funds including amounts in excess of $4 million.
- Ensure strict compliance with all Cage policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements (CNGC IRS and OHRC as applicable).
- Schedule hire train and performance manage department staff to ensure competency build knowledge and provide for succession planning. Evaluate and provide feedback to staff and management regarding customer service execution.
- Assist in the identification development and implementation of process efficiencies.
- Report any suspicious activity to appropriate management Security and/or Surveillance personnel. Work with Accounting/Security/Surveillance to investigate unusual or suspicious activity including cashier variances.
- Ensure equipment required for guest financial services (ATM Check Cashing Cash Advance Ticket Redemption etc.) is functioning as designed.
- Manage relationships with other departments to meet business demands.
Qualifications- Associates Degree and 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven ability to lead a team effectively.
- Ability to proficiently operate basic office equipment computers and standard computer programs (e.g. Excel Word Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license. Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
- Comfortable working in an indoor office-type climate with exposure to smoke extreme temperatures fumes loud noises dirt dust and unpleasant odors.
- Ability to handle average-weight objects up to 25 lbs with prolonged sitting some standing and walking required.
