What Youll Do
As a Financial Analyst for our Applied Global Services group in Applied Materials you will be responsible for value-add financial support to cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of financial and operational goals of our Spares and Service business.
This role is located at our European Finance Headquarters in Hoofddorp Netherlands and is a permanent full-time position.
Role Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the in quarter or actual activities for our spares and service divisions which also includes becoming a business partner for Field Service Organization (FSO) and Sales in managing the overall P&L performance for Service and Spares business
- Ensures the accurate and timely recording of revenue-related transactions in accordance with the Companys revenue recognition policy.
- Analyses and tracks revenue and cost streams against budget prepares reports and trend analysis on a periodic basis and provides narrative and follow up actions to key stakeholders
- Tracks labour hour trends to analyse utilization of workforce
- Tracks spares consumption against forecast and provide analysis accordingly
- Analyses movements in gross margin of customer service contracts and provides explanation of variances to budget and proposes corrective actions if and when needed
- Performs the monthly close tasks including revenue accruals deferred revenue management spending reviews margin reviews account reconciliations and other duties as necessary
- Owns SOX controls in the areas of revenue and cost
- Supports internal and external audits and the preparation of the quarterly balance sheet review package
- Identifies process improvement opportunities to drive time and cost efficiencies

What Youll need:
- Strong financial technical expertise
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization ranging from line level to senior management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbally and in writing)
- Strong time management organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills: SAP and Microsoft suites (Excel PowerPoint SharePoint) and knowledge in Tableau is a plus
- Advanced Knowledge of the English language
- Global perspective
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor or Master in Finance Business Controlling or Accounting
- 3 years of experience in a Financial analysis/Business Controlling position
