Bilingual Scheduling Lead

Job Description: Scheduling Lead

Reports to: CEO

Job Summary: The scheduling leadoperates as part of the centralized scheduling team to ensure the efficientscheduling of patient appointments for scheduling lead also acts as primary point of communication for thecentralized scheduling unit ensuring effective communication around processes occurboth within the centralized scheduling team and with the rest of theorganization.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Schedule/reschedule initial and recurring appointments
  • Monitors patient attendance
  • May occasionally be required to discuss low attendance rates with parents
  • Collaborate with authorization department to monitor authorization deadlines
  • Patient check out including collecting payment and scheduling follow-up visits
  • Attend organizational meetings related to scheduling as assigned by supervisor
  • Facilitate effective training for all staff including providing comprehensive orientation to new staff
  • Practice effective communication with all THI departments
  • Exhibit communication and actions that fosters and maintains a high level of client satisfaction
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Three years previous administrative or clerical experience in a clinical setting
  • Three years previous experience as a medical scheduler preferred

Physical Requirements:

Stand; walk; sit; reachwith hands and arms; public speaking; hear; see; bend able to lift 15 pounds;drive a motor vehicle. Job requires extensive computer use employee must havesufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard/mouse and computer screenfor long periods of time.
