Job Summary

This Nursing Professional Development Practitioner position will support the Procedural Services service line on the Nursing Professional Development team. This NPD practitioner will support different areas of the service line such as the OR PACU Bellevue Surgery Center Interventional Radiology Radiology Recovery GI Lab and PA-C.

Adheres to the nursing professional development (NPD) core competencies as defined by the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) scopes and standards of practice. Supports the transition of nurses and other team members across practice environments and professional stages through onboarding and orientation competency management and role development. Uses the educational design process to address knowledge skill and practice gaps at the individual and team levels.

Evaluates clinical and professional performance and provides coaching in collaboration with unit or department leaders. Provides leadership through continuous process improvement and supports program development organizational mission vision values and strategic goals. Collaborates to support nursing quality patient safety and health equity within defined patient populations.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Nursing from accredited School of of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in related with education professional development or teaching in a clinical learning environment.

Required Credentials
Current Washington State RN certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) will be accepted in lieu of or PALS certification required within 3 or PALS Instructor Certification obtained within 12 certification in a clinical specialty area must be obtained within 3 per the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for RNs performing moderately complex point-of-care testing a copy of a diploma or transcript of the highest level of academic achievement is to be on record with Human Resources upon personnel trained outside of the U.S. records of diploma/transcript must provide documented equivalency evaluation by a foreign credentialing agency.

Preferred
Masters Degree in Nursing or related experience in clinical education program experience with continuous quality improvement certification in Nursing Professional Development (NPD-BC).

Compensation Range

$118174.00 - $177262.00 per year

Salary Information

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity skills experience and expertise and may vary within the range provided.
