The Impact You Will Have

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is hiring a Continuous Improvement Consultant in Eagan MN. As a Continuous Improvement Consultant you will support and contribute to projects that help stakeholders achieve operational excellence and sustainable results. You will apply your expertise in improvement methodologies to diagnose design and implement solutions that address the root causes of process gaps. You will also assist in the development and dissemination of continuous improvement best practices and thought leadership. This position performs research conducts interviews strategically analyzes findings identifies solution options presents recommendations to leadership and implements process changes where applicable.

Your Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end delivery of improvement projects from scoping and planning to execution and closure ensuring quality timeliness and client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to successfully define engagements through the development of charters with clearly defined quantifiable outcomes timelines and communication plans.
• Apply a structured and data-driven approach to problem-solving using appropriate tools and techniques to analyze current state identify root causes design future state and implement solutions where needed.
• Support the identification development and implementation of solutions that align with Blue Cross vision and strategies.
• Collaboration with and support the senior and principal consultant on larger continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor and partner.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement consulting practice by sharing best practices lessons learned and insights and participating in internal initiatives and projects.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3 years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work education transferable skills and military experience will be considered.
• Experience in supporting and delivering improvement projects in various industries and domains with a proven track record of achieving measurable and sustainable results.
• Strong collaboration problem-solving skills conflict resolution facilitation and consensus-building skills.
• Familiarity in lean six sigma and other improvement methodologies tools and techniques and the ability to apply them in different contexts.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to adapt to different audiences and styles.
• Highly collaborative team-oriented and customer-focused and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Self-motivated proactive and flexible with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
• High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Bachelors degree.
• Green Belt certification or training and/or Lean/Six Sigma certification or training.
• Strong project management skills including proven experience leading end to end work.
• Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness to ensure high-quality deliverables and sound strategic recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop and deliver presentations to senior leaders. Proficiency in PowerPoint is beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to translate insights into actionable strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Skilled in building partnerships across the organization to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions.
• Familiarity with Microsoft PowerApps including the ability to design build and maintain custom applications to support business processes. Experience integrating PowerApps with other Microsoft tools (e.g. SharePoint Excel Teams) is preferred.
• Agile experience.

Anchored in Connection

Our hybrid approach is designed to balance flexibility with meaningful in-person connection and collaboration. We come together in the office two days each week most teams designate at least one anchor day to ensure team interaction. These in-person moments foster relationships creativity and alignment. The rest of the week you are empowered to work remote.
